Research Journal of Biotechnology
Peer Review Process
Review Model
The Research Journal of Biotechnology (RJB) follows a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. This ensures objectivity, fairness, and academic integrity throughout the evaluation process.
Review Workflow
Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first assessed by the editorial office for:
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Compliance with submission guidelines
- Originality and plagiarism check
- Ethical standards
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors or rejected without external review.
Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to independent expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Scientific quality and originality
- Methodological soundness
- Clarity and organization
- Relevance to the field of biotechnology
Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer comments, the editor may take one of the following decisions:
- Acceptance
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Rejection
Revision and Final Decision
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer comments. The revised manuscript is evaluated by the editor (and reviewers, if necessary) before a final decision is made.
Review Timeline
- Initial Editorial Screening: Approximately 1 week
- Peer Review Process: Approximately 2–3 weeks
- Final Decision & Publication: Within 1–2 weeks after acceptance

All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors are expected to adhere to ethical guidelines and avoid conflicts of interest.
